Tony didn't set out to upset his pop and his brothers, but some people just weren't made for college. Besides, local politics offers more education than Tony could ever find in books. Jerome Weathers, a well-respected Black politician in a largely Black neighborhood, has found plenty of use for a young, friendly man with connections to the university. While other politicians buy students with illegal booze and raucous parties, Tony helped Jerome sell idealism and the vision of a better future. It was tough competition, but there were plenty of students who caught the vision. Why would he waste his time on anything else?
