Briel doesn't do friendship. Until a few months ago, she didn't do relationships, and surely her current fling doesn't count - Liam Monroe is entertainment and nothing more. How to explain Nessa, then? Briel actually finds herself enjoying an occasional coffee or phone conversation with a fellow human - one not a mark on a mission. Making a friend, though, comes with some risks that Briel has not considered. First of all, Nessa isn't nearly suspicious enough of her fellow man. So, when Briel's ex shows up and latches onto Nessa, there's no way to convince the woman to use caution.
