Vigilance
She thought she had life under control until a mystery proved her wrong.
So, Briel knows that life can't be all fun, but she has managed to keep it incredibly exciting. Her job as a security agent carries enough thrill for all her adrenaline addiction, but she is also dating Liam. Liam is...unpredictable. Not in the "loses his temper and beats up a girl" way, but in the "kidnaps his girlfriend and takes her for a drive on the interstate going 120 mph." Briel has to admit it - for the most part, she likes his kind of unpredictable.
Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean he's good for her.
For one thing, he doesn't take no for an answer.
Literally - he waits until he has her trapped in a car or on a plane or in a foreign country to reveal whatever crazed scheme he is going to manufacture for them, and much of the time, Briel can't get away until the event has passed.
So, maybe she should break up with him after all.
Fortunately for her, someone even more exciting shows up in her life just about the time she decides Liam is bad for her.
Not that she knows who he is.
Staying anonymous, the man claims to come from her past.
He claims to have hacked into her system for the sheer pleasure of reconnecting with her.
But if he likes her so much, why won't he tell her his name?
And why do so many bad things start to happen right about the time he shows up?
